Help

Short answers to what people ask us most.

Want more? Browse all help articles.

Is it free?

Yes. Paste a link from a recipe site and you get just the ingredients and steps, with no account and no limit. A free account keeps up to 20 recipes, and cookbooks, the meal planner, the grocery list and printing are free too.

Why does Save ask me to sign in?

Reading needs no account. Saving does, because a saved recipe has to live somewhere that is yours. Without an account it would vanish the day this browser clears its storage. Signed in, your recipes are waiting on your phone and every browser you use. Sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook or an email link. There is no password.

Web or the app?

Same account, same recipes. Save on the web and it is in the app, and the other way round. The app keeps your recipes on your phone, so they open without a connection. The web is the quickest way to read and print one recipe, and it takes photos and PDFs too.

What does Premium add?

Recipes from videos, photos and PDFs. Unlimited saved recipes. Servings that scale, and units that convert. That is all of it. Premium is one subscription for every place you sign in, and you can start it on the web or in the app, under Account, then Subscription.

How do I cancel Premium?

Cancel where you subscribed. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

App Store

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose JustTheRecipe and tap Cancel Subscription. Apple’s Cancel a subscription from Apple walks through it.

Google Play

On your Android phone, open the Play Store and tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Choose JustTheRecipe and tap Cancel subscription. From a computer, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

On the web

Subscribed on justtherecipe.com? Open Manage subscription and cancel it there.

How do I remove or report a recipe?

To remove a recipe you saved, move it to Trash from its page or from your recipe list. Emptying Trash deletes it for good.

A shared page shows a recipe we read from its original site, with a link back to it. If a page is yours and you want it gone, or something on it is wrong, send us its link and we’ll look at it.
